A Great Day

Yesterday (09/09/09) proved to be a great day all round. The weather was excellent, and looks to stay that way for the next few days and three of the schools students had a very successful day. Adam Vartanian completed his first solo flight! He was pleased as he managed it in fewer hours than his friend Tom! Andy Taylor completed his cross country qualifier flight to Dunkeswell and Bembridge, dispite a challenging cross wind at Bembridge! Tom’s Cross Country

First Solo Nav

Congratulations to Andy Taylor who completed his first Solo Navigation. Andy reported a flawless trip around dorchester & bruton. Due to the fact that Geoff Prout is his instructor, we have to assume this was a fluke. Jokes aside, Well done Andy!

Tom Rule breaks record to become UK’s youngest pilot…

This Friday, the 13th of March, Tom Rule has become the UK’s youngest pilot. He flew solo for the first time at around 11:10, just hours after he turned 16.
